Our Conferences

Each year the ACA holds an annual conference which provides beneficial information to adjusters alongside agricultural claims management and staff in the commercial ag or the farm and ranch industry.  The sessions cover a range of general, liability, and property topics focused on the Ag Claims Industry.  Subject Matter Experts, scientists, arborists, agronomists, toxicologists, business leaders, lawyers, veterinarians, engineers, and mill wrights with a goal of sharing information presented for ag claims professionals to while doing their job.  The majority of the sessions will be approved for CE credit in Texas but the ACA is working to add Florida for 2022 as a second option as we continue to grow.  The pandemic did present some fantastic opportunities to leverage technology that resulted in a virtual Annual Conference but also birthed the concept of supplemental mini-conferences during the year.  The Annual Ag Claims Conference is  28 February - 1 March, 2023 at the Gaylord Opryland Hotel in Nashville, Tennessee.

Virtual Mini-Conferences

Please join for additional training opportunities during the year.  We learned in 2020 that you can hold quality conferences virtually that are tailored to fit into your workday while providing critical information updates about important topics when you need it most.  Some examples from our mini- conference included:

  • Over payment of claims
  • Impact of the Derecho
  • Changes ahead of us with Dicamba
  • Learned about toxicity in edible vegetation - what can be salvaged and what has to be destroyed
  • Learned scoping of combine damage and when it's time to replace it
  • Crop Liability work through losses and determine settlements
  • Networking was set up through SLACK to communicate with the sponsors, speakers, and other attendees
  • Virtual Happy Hour with a recording that takes requests for music, and performes for attendees and guests.  In the past, families joined and it was a big hit.
  • The next virtual conference dates will be announced at the 2022 Annual Ag Claims Conference.
  • The ACA plans to hold one virtual mini-conferences each year in addition to the annual Ag Claims Conference.
