This is our first live training event for the 2026 claim season. We are building on the aims and goals from previous live events to prepare adjusters and underwriters to conduct an actual inspection, document the results, and outline the steps needed to complete the process. Training will take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. EST in Westfield (Indianapolis), Indiana. The morning will be in the classroom and the afternoon will be spent with experts at a nearby farm site. Lunch is included during the event. The event is limited to 30 participants so don't wait. One year of free ACA membership level support will be provided to any attendee who works a claim related to session (s) attended.
Registration Closes at 12:00 p.m. EDT on 26 April 2026

The training will be held at the SpringHill Suites, 19317 Westmore Ln., Westfield, IN 46074. Agronomy and Greenhouse Claims - 28 April 2026
Agronomy claims (i.e., chemical drift and chemical misapplication) is covered by an insured's Farm Ranch or Commercial Ag policy and impacts the crops, landscaping, or trees/plants belonging to a third party (claimant). Depending on various factors, the state may get involved and occasionally the claim becomes litigious. Come spend the day with us and hearing from an attorney, as state inspector, a registered and certified arborist, and a very experience crop liability adjuster about agronomy claims and how to handle them.
After our classroom session and lunch, we are going to Red Gold and tour their greenhouse. During peak production there are approximately eight million tomato plants in the greenhouse. Greenhouses claims may be both a property or a liability claim depending on the cause of damage. Physical damage may be covered in the insured's policy for their greenhouse/nursery while an agronomy event would be covered by an insured's liability coverage. We will spend over two hours touring the facility and talking about operations, the greenhouse itself, and tomatoes.
A note taking guide with additional information is provided as part of the course. 6 hours of CE are approved by the state of TX and FL.
