The ACA is excited to announce the 2023 Ag Claims Conference with be at the Gaylord Opryland Hotel in Nashville, Tennessee on February 28 & March 1. We used input from last years conference attendees plus feedback from this year's claim season to help shape the conference agenda. Additionally, we are excited to announce that the Tennessee Commissioner of Agriculture will be our first ever keynote speaker. Commissioner Hatcher will be addressing the state of the agriculture industry.
Agriculture claims this season continued the previous year's trend of increasingly higher number of liability claims driven by: increased commodity prices, higher numbers of cow out claims, and increased concern over misapplication claims. The drought in some areas of the US created wildfires which generating both property and liability claims tying equipment, fence, and crop damage into one claim. As adjusters are working claims, the industry is seeing the impact that missed premium and hidden exposures has on agriculture insurance underwriting. The ACA is responding to assist and have added speakers to cover relevant to these concerns and how we can help the agriculture insurance industry improve. Due to the interest in topics that impact underwriting, we also added an optional third-half day to the conference, with limited number of seats, to go more in-depth into underwriting topics.
We know you have a choice of several events hosted annually by different organizations around the industry and the ACA strives to provide world class education, training and support that differentiates us from the others. We look forward to the conference, your support, and growing together; we hope to see you in Nashville.
