Description: The Crop Liability Certification Course (Basic) is a unique three-day course that trains and educates insurance adjusters, and other industry professionals, how to investigate and adjust crop liability claims. Built by crop liability investigators and adjuster, they cover the basics of crop liability and the supporting role of crop insurance, how to conduct inspections and investigations in the field, the basics of two crops typical to a region in the U.S; we are starting with corn and soybeans. Scenario based activities (SBA) are used to learn the adjusting step of loss calculations to indemnify a claimant's loss.

Course Objective: As an insurance professional, you will apply basic principles, resources, and processes to corn and soybean claims from claim assignment to the claim's closure.

  • Full refunds are available until the close of registration on 20 September and will be processed immediately. Partial refunds are available, less a $199 meal fee for what the ACA commited to the number of meals mid-September.
  • Ten total attendees are required by 15 September. If 15 attendees are not registered and paid by 15 September, the training may be cancelled and full refunds remitted.
  • The ACA is not responsible or liable for any travel expense penalties or fees due to training cancellation; please check with your travel service or carrier of penalties due to cancellation.
  • There is no penalty or service charge to transfer a registration as long as the ACA is provided in a written request (i.e., email) and is sent before the start of training on 29 September.
